01 · Who controls your data

Hectr is the product and service name used by the developer identified on Hectr’s current Apple App Store or Google Play listing and on your purchase receipt. That developer is the controller of personal data processed through Hectr. Privacy enquiries and rights requests: privacy@hectr.app. Product support: support@hectr.app.

The store developer identity is part of this policy by reference and must match the legal provider shown in the live store listing.

02 · Data we process

Account and subscription

Email address or sign-in identifier, profile settings, consent records, authentication tokens and subscription entitlement. Apple and Google process payments; Hectr receives purchase status and transaction references, not full card details.

Workout, health and fitness

Exercises, repetitions, sets, duration, performance, progress, heart rate and other workout or wearable signals you permit through Apple Health, Health Connect, Apple Watch, Wear OS or connected devices.

Camera, photos and video

Camera frames, photos or video you choose to capture or import for automatic workout analysis, plus derived movement, exercise and repetition data.

Device and operations

App version, device and operating-system information, approximate region, permission state, timestamps, crash reports, diagnostics, security events and service logs. We also process messages and attachments you send to support.

03 · Why we use it

  • Provide automatic workout detection, counting, saving, synchronisation and progress features.
  • Connect permitted health, fitness and wearable services.
  • Authenticate accounts, verify subscriptions, answer support requests and keep the service secure.
  • Diagnose failures and improve reliability using limited technical analytics.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms and prevent fraud or abuse.

Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of our contract, your consent for optional permissions and health data, legitimate interests in security and reliability, and legal obligations. You can withdraw device permissions in system settings; this does not affect earlier lawful processing.

04 · Camera and automated analysis

Camera use is optional and permission-based. When enabled, Hectr may process frames on the device and, where needed to provide the feature, transmit encrypted media to controlled infrastructure for automated movement analysis. Results are estimates, not medical advice.

Hectr does not use face recognition, create biometric identity templates, sell camera media, or use your images or video to train general-purpose AI models unless you receive a separate explanation and explicitly opt in. Camera details and controls are set out in the Camera & Data Policy.

05 · Service providers and transfers

We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may give strictly necessary access to providers of cloud hosting and storage, authentication, crash diagnostics, security, customer support, subscription verification and automated workout processing. They act under contracts and may use data only to provide those services. We may also disclose data where law requires it or to protect users and the service.

If information is transferred internationally, we use an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, plus technical safeguards where appropriate.

06 · Retention

  • Unselected or temporary camera media: up to 30 days.
  • Media you deliberately save: until you delete it or the account.
  • Account and workout records: while the account is active, then deleted or de-identified within 30 days after a verified deletion request.
  • Security and operational logs: up to 12 months.
  • Support correspondence: up to 24 months.
  • Encrypted backups: overwritten through a rolling cycle of up to 90 days.
  • Transaction and compliance records: only for the period required by law.

We may retain de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

07 · Your controls and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data-protection authority. To delete your account in the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, or use our web deletion instructions. We may verify your identity before completing a request.

08 · Security and age

We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted production access, logging, backups and provider reviews designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Hectr is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child provided data, contact us for deletion.

09 · Contact and updates

Email privacy@hectr.app for privacy questions or rights requests. We will post the current policy here and give additional notice in the app when a material change requires it.

This policy must be kept consistent with the app’s actual permissions, SDKs, storage locations and Apple App Privacy / Google Play Data safety declarations.
